Week 10: Term Review

This past week in lab we tested our final design. Unfortunately, our design did not test as well as we had hoped. Seeing in that I foreran the final design, I was incredibly disappointed and felt responsible for the ill success of our group. Conceptually, I believed it was a solid design, and also different aesthetically. Although it did remain aesthetically different, its durability proved to be virtually non-existent when measuring in ratio.

Despite the ultimate ill success, I still very much enjoyed this course. I found it to be educational and collaborative in engineering disciplines. This course was designed to include Documentation, Computer Modeling and Software, Design Process and Physical Modeling, and Forensic and Static Analysis. I believe that I learned a lot about each one of these topics and methods. Documenting in particular, proved to be the most beneficial to the project. It is very important to record the process of design so that one can reflect upon their decisions and results at a later date. Also, this course helped me to see the full picture of what it takes to have a successful design and the steps that need to be taken to achieve the highest efficiency.
